Notice of Hearing: PIRMI and Sports Park Reorganization to the City of Woodland (LAFCo No. 24-01)
Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 9:00 am, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Yolo Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) will hold a Public Hearing at the Yolo County Board of Supervisors Chamber, 625 Court Street, Room 206, Woodland, CA, to consider the following agenda item:
Project Title:
PIRMI and Sports Park Reorganization to the City of Woodland (LAFCo No. 24-01)
Project Description:
The City of Woodland requests annexation of 12 parcels in the PIRMI area totaling 88+/- acres and 1 parcel adjacent to the sports park totaling 40 +/- acres to the City of Woodland. This action requires concurrent detachment from the Springlake Fire Protection District (no other districts will be affected).
Location:
The PIRMI area includes 12 parcels (including the Pacific International Rice Mills, Inc. or PIRMI) surrounded by I-5 to the north, Kentucky Ave to the south, East St. to the east, and the Union Pacific railroad tracks to the west. The Sports Park area includes 1 parcel immediately east of the Woodland Sports Park.
Environmental Review:
The potential environmental effects of the proposal have been reviewed by the City of Woodland as Lead Agency, which certified the Final Environmental Impact Report for the 2035 General Plan and Climate Action Plan and filed a Notice of Exemption in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

The Executive Officer's Report and the Agenda will be posted online at least five days prior to the noticed hearing at www.yololafco.org. All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing.
