NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING: Springlake Fire Protection District Change of Organization from an Independent District to a Dependent District to Yolo County
Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, January 23, 2020, at 9:00 am, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Yolo Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) will hold a Public Hearing at the Yolo County Board of Supervisors Chambers, 625 Court Street, Room 206, Woodland, CA to consider the following agenda item:
Project Title:
Springlake Fire Protection District Change of Organization from an Independent District to a Dependent District to Yolo County (LAFCo No. 934)
Project Description:
The Springlake Fire Protection District (FPD) requests to change from an independent district to a dependent district with an appointed Fire Commission. Over the last three years, the Board has been unable to fill two vacancies on its Board and is concerned about its ability to maintain a quorum. The FPD currently contracts for services with the cities of Woodland and Davis and the University of California, Davis. No changes to contracted services are included in this proposal.
Location:
The FPD surrounds the City of Woodland on the north, south and east sides from County Road (CR) 98 to I-5 over to East Street where it proceeds to Cache Creek, then east to the Yolo County Bypass and south to the City of Davis and the University of California, Davis, and back west again to CR 98 and north to CR 27 where it turns east to CR 99 and then north to the City of Woodland’s southern boundary. A map of the FPD is available on the LAFCo website.
